Created for its premiere performance during FuturX 2020: Entra al Laberinto, La Raza Cósmica by Proyecto Teatro once again shines on the VORTEX Virtual Channel as a Video on Demand. Adapted from José Vasconcelos’ essay of the same title, La Raza Cósmica explores and critiques the work which was published in 1925. Through the lens of a troupe of clowns, Vasconcelos’ theory that traditional, exclusive concepts of so-called "race" and nationality can be transcended in the name of humanity's common destiny are dissected.
