Celebrate the power of youth expression at the Courageous Cadence Youth Open Mic!

This inspiring event is hosted by the young artists of The VORTEX and showcases performances created during the Courageous Cadence Spoken Word Poetry Action-Residency. The open mic is open to youth across all art forms, including spoken word poetry, music, dance, literature, and performing arts.

Marking the culmination of the Courageous Cadence Spoken Word Poetry Action-Residency, high school youth (ages 13-18) have explored themes of race and gender (in)justice through their creative voices. Come witness the creativity and courage of young voices as they celebrate their identities and put the rhyme in resistance.

All ticket sales are final. However, we can exchange your tickets for a different night or a different performance, for a $3 fee, depending on availability. We do not sell your private data.
