About Malum Malus

Malum Malus is an occult burlesque ensemble. Inspired by the wheel of the year, dancers tantalize audiences with sensual, mystical performances during the pagan holidays of Lammas, Samhain, and Beltane. Part ritual, part provocation, part hedonistic celebration, these shows are unlike any burlesque performance you’ve ever seen.

VENUE

Malum Malus performs inside The VORTEX theatre, located at 2307 Manor Rd., Austin, TX 78722.

The VORTEX is a 501(c)3 non-profit. We own and operate The Butterfly Bar. Inside, there is a 95-seat theatre. The theatre has stadium seating: there are no bad seats in the house! If you’ve only visited The Butterfly Bar or the food truck outside in the garden, you haven’t fully experienced The VORTEX. You need to go inside!
