The VORTEX announces open-call auditions seeking courageous artists of any color, race, age, or gender to participate in urgent, unashamed art. 

This year, our 36th season, we dive into Green New Theatre, embracing environmental justice through our theatrical art and creating magic to heal broken worlds. 

Global majority/BIPOC artists and non-binary and transgender artists are encouraged to audition. Artists selected to participate in the season will receive compensation for their work. Paid crew and design positions are also available.

Preparation

Please prepare one-minute contemporary monologue and one-minute of song. You may also demonstrate dance, movement, circus skills, or gymnastics. Please bring 5 hard copies of your resume. Headshot optional. If you are singing, please bring sheet music for accompanist.

Syntax Error: The Quickening of AI, new, devised work conceived and directed by Heather Barfield
