OCTOBER 3-5, 2019 8pm

Presented by Mistress of Musicality

We’re bringing you an evening of freedom, unabashed visibility, unique voices and story though burlesque, dance, and aerial performances. Artists respond to our current political and social climate in a unique collective of works that express frustration and fear, beauty and acceptance, and overall celebrate diversity and humanity. The show is funny, sexy, dramatic, and exciting. Burlesque the Vote urges us to get involved in our community and to vote. A portion of the proceeds will go to the ACLU Texas Chapter, and local organizations. You can register to vote at the show!

About Mistress of Musicality:

We are a diverse and inclusive collective of actors, dancers, aerialists, vocalists, burlesque and variety performance artists working together to create original productions by collaborative, non-traditional, and often improvisational means, crashing the fourth wall and bringing the audience into each world we create.

We conjure and navigate the storm of imagination with urgent, unashamed art that dares to dream the world in which we want to live. This magic emanates from our cultural harbor, embraces diverse communities, breaks down barriers, and opens channels for vital exchange.

Mistress of Musicality is funded and supported in part by VORTEX Repertory Company and by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
