Ask the Psychopomp

“A psychopomp is a magical being that moves in between the worlds, shapeshifting, trickstering, and most of all serving as a guide for souls moving from one world to the next. The psychopomp’s work is with death, transition, and change.”
Ask the Psychopomp is part of a larger performance world called the Psychopomp Project, a manifestation of which will be appearing in the form of a trickster’s advice booth in the Pony Shed @ The Vortex over Halloween weekend. The Psychopomp* is IN. At the time when the veil between the worlds is thinnest, for Halloween, the Psychopomp answers your questions as she reaches to the dead in the other realms.
Ask a question. Roll the dice. The answer may arrive in the form of a song, a shift, a letter from the otherworlds, or some other form entirely. There are many possible outcomes. Even the Psychopomp cannot predict which will happen. The outcome depends on you, your question, and of course, the dice. Stay for 5 minutes, or for as long as you want. Come and go as you wish.

About Wendy Vastine
Wendy Vastine is an Austin- based vocalist, actor, composer, writer, and more. Wendy also is a vocal coach who is especially interested in the voice as a manifestation of the soul. Wendy has worked closely with members of the Roy Hart Theatre (based in Malerargues, France) over the past 15 years and has recently been honored to collaborate with Generic Ensemble Company in Austin.
