A distinct departure from much of the original work created by the VORTEX, Trickster spins a joyous stylistic leap. This comical romp into mythology, pop culture, and magic tricks seeks to discover who is the tricksiest of the Tricksters.

The VORTEX Repertory Company presents Trickster, a comic play with music, featuring mythological Tricksters from diverse cultures. Created by award-winning director/producer, Bonnie Cullum.

The wily Coyote, Fox, Spider, Monkey, Raven, Fool and other clever tricksters populate this multi-cultural world of surprises, music, and, of course, tricks. Magical illusions, lush music, hot dancing, and theatrical daring enliven a night of stories about those who make human life edgy, unsure, and risky.
The ensemble of actors, musicians, jugglers, tumblers, and dancers includes:
